ON SET August 12 2011
My girl, Shelly, asked if I wanted to go on set of Evidence‘s music video for the track, “It Wasn’t Me” from the upcoming Cats & Dogs LP. She thought it to be a good networking opportunity, I thought the same, so I went. Shelly is part of the Rick & Ray collective as the makeup artist. Although I’ve seen her work before (like on me when I needed makeup done) it was cool seeing her in a different setting, truly in her element.
When she told me that it was Evidence’s music video, I failed to put two and two together. Upon arriving on set and seeing Evidence in front of Todd Angkasuwan‘s camera, a huge lightbulb must have lit above my head. I’ve met Evidence many times through the Soul Assassins circuit. There was a lot of “Ohhhhhs” uttered on my end…
Anyways, the song “It Wasn’t Me” clears the air on a case of mistaken identity between Evidence and graffiti artist, Buket, who is also in the video. Stay tuned for it!
