VALLEY TO DTLA TO ECHO PARK July 20 2012
Made rounds again yesterday.
First stop was in the valley to meet KB iMean. We’ve been working with KB and his partner Spintelect through their media company, Everybody’s Rival. Now that he’s refocusing on his music, we are also exploring ways to work together on that level.
Next was DTLA to see the home team at the Rick & Ray office. Wella and Glen did some rearranging, the patio has new Keith Haring art, and we now have The Filipino Channel. All of which make for some kind of inspiration.
Final stop was Echo Park. I didn’t have anything scheduled with Backside but I wanted to stop in to say hello and talk about our involvement at this coming Agenda. But I was hungry, so I went to Two Boots (literally two doors down) to grab a slice first. My plan was to eat in the store. By the time I got it, Backside was closed! The lesson to be learned here is this: call before you visit. Or visit before you eat. However you wanna look at it.
