FAQ
The product pages don’t tell me how your tees fit. What size should I buy?
Unless otherwise stated, we print on US-made American Apparel t-shirts, which are usually a snug fit for most people. People tend to order one size bigger than normal. But that’s just been the trend; your call.
Will the t-shirts shrink?
The tees are not preshrunk, so they will shrink a bit in the wash.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! It’s no use ranting about culture if we’re not in the business of reaching people. So wherever you are, we’ve got you. Just add the international shipping rate of $25USD and your shirt will be on its way.
What is the return policy?
You must return the tee with the completed form (found in your package) within 14 days. Once we receive it, we will email you, and then you have the option of a refund or exchange. You’re responsible for shipping the item back to us.
Are the t-shirts only for Filipinos?
No. Some t-shirts will play on Filipino culture, others won’t. For example, the November 2007 release of the Identity shirt is for most, if not all of us. The brand is multi-cultural, even though we might sometimes print designs with Filipino themes. There’s no reason other folks who accept and embrace diversity can’t wear our stuff.
What is Chicharon?
Chicharon is the Filipino name for a distinctly Spanish food – deep fried pork skin. It’s kind of the old world equivalent to potato chips.
Why does the pig have an X on its forehead?
Forgive us PETA, but the X marks the demise of the little oinkers. You can’t make an omelet unless you break some eggs. We went through a series of logos, but this one was the most simple. Besides, we believe that the most identifiable logos are those that a three year old could draw.
How can we find out about Chicharon Adventures events and updates?
That’s easy… keep visiting the site to read the blog, add us on Myspace, become a fan on Facebook, follow the brand on Twitter, follow Tricia on Twitter, or talk to us on AIM or Yahoo. The screen name for both services is: CAlivehelp.
Is it true that people in Manila don’t skate?
When Tricia visited the Philippines in 2008, she was shocked that children hardly had a chance to enjoy their youth. When we were kids, we were out playing most of time. Instead, these kids were hustling. We wanted to raise awareness about the simple yet significant condition. There are skate shops and areas to skate, but for the most part, our t-shirt has truth behind it.

Is the blog the same thing as the ezine?
No. The blog contains random things that are generally about the Angeleno lifestyle. The ezine, on the other hand, takes people that have impacted the Los Angeles community and explores their relationship with the city.
WILL YOU RELEASE TEES IN LARGER SIZES?
Yes! Expect the Part Two of the Summer 2009 (and every season after that) to include larger sizes.
